Your path to peace of mind regarding your estate begins with an experienced estate planning attorney. We at Doug Marks Law understand the issues that your family will face when you are disabled or pass on, and we can help you prepare for that time.
We offer advice and documentation in the following areas:
We are up-front about the costs of your estate planning documents. Many of our services are provided on a flat-fee basis, so you know after one visit how much your plan will cost. When we will need to provide hourly services, we are up-front and transparent about those costs.
We’re happy to correspond with you via e-mail or otherwise (if you’re uncomfortable with computers), and where trust clients request it, we’re happy to travel to their homes or places of business to do initial interviews. So if your parent needs to do a trust and has a hard time getting out, we can come to you.
We also work quickly and efficiently. We can usually prepare an initial set of documents (trust, will, financial power of attorney, healthcare directive) within a week after you engage us to work on your behalf. We also answer your questions promptly, whether by phone or e-mail.
We understand that not everybody has gone to school to study wills and trusts and that most people will have very basic questions about the law regarding estates, and we are happy to answer those questions. In fact, answering questions is one of the most enjoyable part of our practice.
We are part of a nationwide association of over 4,000 estate planning attorneys, and we participate in the organization’s efforts to constantly update our understanding of the law and related documents. In that way, we constantly ensure that the wills and trusts we provide to our clients take into account recent legal developments.
Clients ordering trusts receive a high-quality binder where all documents are gathered and stored. When you or your children need to consult them later, you’ll be happy to know exactly where they are and that all related documents are current and collected. Scanned copies can be provided electronically upon request. This allows you to easily inform your children of your estate planning efforts.
We’ve never had a client regret acting too soon to get their will or trust done. Usually, clients are surprised by the ease of the process and by the reasonable pricing they receive at Doug Marks Law. Please click the button below to get the process started.
